Business Radio 1160 WCFO is Atlanta's only all-business and financial information talk radio station. It's one of two in the JW Broadcasting radio group (which also includes AM1690 WMLB) and was officially launched on June 12th, 2006.

AM1160 was originally purchased in September of 2004 from Corey Entertainment to be the radio home of WMLB - "The Voice of the Arts". This station featured music from incredibly diverse genres and concentrated on covering the arts scene of Atlanta. But with the success of the station, JW Broadcasting President Joe Weber saw the need to move it up the radio dial to AM1690 where "The Voice of the Arts" could reach an even larger audience in traditionally arts-centric areas of the city.

Once the move was made, it became apparent that AM1160 would have to undergo a change in format. But the question obviously was: "To what?" JW Broadcasting's Vice President and General Manager Jeff Davis saw an immediate opportunity to bring a unique talk radio format to Atlanta with AM1160. Instead of programming that concentrated on the issues important to "red" or "blue" listeners, he decided it was time to cater to the needs of those who wanted to make the "green." Thus, AM1160 became "Business Radio 1160 - WCFO" with a talk format geared to listeners concerned with business and financial topics.

"WCFO is long overdue," says Davis "As far as I know, Atlanta is the only top-ten radio market without an all-business radio station. Considering the number of corporations headquartered here, and the multitude of affluent investors that reside in the metro area, WCFO will fill a long-needed radio niche for these listeners. At last they'll be able to get the financial information they need 24 hours a day just by turing on their radio."

Business Radio 1160 receives programming from two giants in financial reporting and broadcasting. From 6am - 10am, Bloomberg Radio gets our listeners ready for the day by reporting all of the overnight business developments from here and around the world. From 10am on, The Business Talk Radio Network takes over with numerous shows dealing with business news and investing strategies. This combination is a one-two punch without equal for those concerned with business news in Atlanta.

So now we set forth on a mission to bring Atlanta a unique radio experience with information that will hopefully allow our listeners to improve their bottom line. But one thing we are certain of here at The CFO: We will always provide talk radio with a high rate of interest to our listeners!
